The FERM European Rice Convention 2027 will take place at the Hyatt Regency Zadar, a five-star hotel ideally located in the heart of Zadar, overlooking the Adriatic Sea and within easy reach of the historic Old Town.

The Hyatt Regency Zadar is set within one of the city’s most iconic historic buildings. Originally built in 1911 by the Luxardo family as a residence and liqueur factory, the landmark later became home to the famous Maraska factory, closely linked to Zadar’s renowned Maraschino tradition. Carefully restored and integrated into the contemporary hotel, the historic building now blends more than a century of local heritage with modern five-star hospitality.

FERM has secured a dedicated room block at the Hyatt Regency Zadar for participants attending the European Rice Convention 2027.

Special FERM rates

Single room: €250 per room, per night
Double room: €275 per room, per night

The rates include 13% VAT, buffet breakfast, access to the Lavender Spa & Fitness Centre, bottled water, coffee and tea making facilities, and Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. A city tax of €1.50 per person, per night is not included.

Participants will be able to book their accommodation directly with the Hyatt Regency Zadar through a dedicated FERM booking link (available soon).

The special FERM rates are available for the nights of 22 and 23 September 2027. Subject to hotel availability, the same rates and conditions can also be applied for stays of up to three days before and three days after the Convention. 

We recommend booking early, as the number of rooms available at the special FERM rate is limited.

Cancellation policy

Individual reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 14 days before the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations received within 14 days of arrival, reductions of stay after arrival or no-shows will be charged at 100% of the reserved stay. A valid credit card may be required by the hotel at the time of booking to guarantee the reservation.

Getting to Zadar 

Zadar is located on Croatia’s beautiful Adriatic coast and is easily accessible by air and road from major European cities.

By Air

The nearest airport is Zadar Airport (ZAD), located approximately 8 km from Zadar city centre. During the summer season, the airport offers connections with numerous European destinations. Zračna luka Zadar

From Zadar Airport to Hyatt Regency Zadar

  • By Taxi: Taxis are available directly outside the arrivals terminal and operate 24 hours a day. 
  • By Private Transfer: Private transfers can also be arranged in advance for a convenient door-to-door journey.
  • By Rental Car: Several international and local car rental companies operate directly from Zadar Airport.
  • By Bus: An airport shuttle connects Zadar Airport with the city centre and Zadar Main Bus Station. The journey to the city centre takes approximately 20 minutes and currently costs €5 one way, including luggage. From the city centre, the Hyatt Regency Zadar can be reached by a short taxi or Uber/Bolt ride. 

Alternative Airports

Depending on your departure city and available flight connections, Split Airport (SPU) or Zagreb Airport (ZAG) may also be considered as alternatives, followed by an onward journey to Zadar by car or bus.

By Car

Zadar is well connected to the Croatian motorway network via the A1 motorway, making it easily accessible by car from other parts of Croatia and neighbouring countries.

  • Šibenik (1h) – A beautiful historic coastal city with a maze of stone streets and the UNESCO-listed Cathedral of St James, easily combined with a visit to Krka National Park.

  • Kornati National Park – An extraordinary archipelago of islands and islets off the Dalmatian coast. Boat excursions from the Zadar area offer a wonderful way to experience the crystal-clear waters and landscapes of the Adriatic.

  • Plitvice Lakes National Park (approx. 1h 30–2h) – One of Croatia’s most famous natural attractions and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its turquoise lakes, waterfalls and wooden walking trails.
